Stricter air emission standards now in force
On February 1, 2013, air pollution emission standards specified in Ontario’s Air Pollution- Local Air Quality regulation (O.Reg.419/05) came into force. Under this regulation, the Minister of Environment set limits on contaminants at the point they are released by facilities. For a fact sheet on the regulation, please click here.
