Audits: a primer

By ,

I had a chance to sit down with Paul MacLean, president of EEM, a Montreal consultancy. He gave us a rundown on why audits are important, their legal implications for company directors, and some tips on how to ensure they are done well, when to rely on internal auditors and when to seek outside help.

Paul has  co-authored two books: Good to Green – How to Manage Business Risks and Opportunities in the Age of Environmental Awareness (John Wiley & Sons, 2009), and Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems Auditing (LexisNexis Canada, 2002).
